You Drink. We Give.
When Matt and Tom started up the distillery, they wanted to do something more than just make great spirits... they wanted a cause, or higher purpose to serve, to help keep them motivated through the tough times of starting a new venture. Knowing that each had lost a parent to cancer, it was a relatively simple decision to donate a portion of their proceeds to caner research. When thinking of how to do this, again it was an easy decision to partner with an amazing local organization, Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center, to find the right place to give their money. Please, go to their website to read more about the spectacular work they do. You can even donate on your own, right from the website.
Our name, Four Leaf Spirits, is directly derived from this desire to donate to cancer research. Matt and Tom were trying to figure out how to incorporate their story into the distillery's branding (without being too depressing), and were one day discussing what it took for each of them to get through some of the tough times. They decided they relied on friends, family and some superstitions to bring them comfort. Both being Irish, they decided the best Irish superstitions (the Four Leaf Clover) would also bring luck to those who needed it, and Four Leaf Spirits was born.
