3 COCKTAILS FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
1) Celtic Breeze (A summer day on the patio in a glass)
- 2 oz Sásta
- 6 oz 7-UP
- 2 lemon slices
- 5 mint leaves
Muddle mint and lemon with ice in a pint glass. Add Sásta and 7-Up, and more ice. Stir. Say ahhhhh!
2) McMulligan (Like an alcoholic, Earl Grey, Arnold Palmer)
· 2 oz Liath
· 1 oz fresh lemon juice
· 3/4 oz simple syrup
· 2 oz soda water
Mix Liath, lemon juice and simple syrup with ice in an old fashioned glass. Add soda and stir gently. Go ahead... swing again, we weren't looking.
3) Pot O' Gold (A little zing and a little bubbly)
· 2 oz Tine
· 2 oz grapefruit soda water (La Croix or similar)
· 1/2 oz simple syrup
· Ample Orange bitters
Mix ingredients with ice in an old fashioned glass and stir gently. Set up that Leprechaun trap again, you'll get him this year!
Solstice (A bold sipper)
- 1.5 oz Rum47 Amber
- ¾ oz Tine
- 1 Dash of orange bitters (optional)
Mix Rum47 Amber, Tine and bitters in an old fashioned glass. Sip slowly. Enjoy it neat for a winter solstice or on the rocks for a summer solstice. Magic.
How you like dem apples? (A fall classic)
- 1.5 oz Tine
- ¾ oz Rum47 Amber
- 1.5 oz Fresh Apple Cider
Mix Rum47 Amber, Tine and cider with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an apple slice. Crisp.
Rum47 Old Fashioned (A rum twist on a classic)
- 2 oz Rum47 Amber
- 1 Sugar Cube
- A few dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 Bada Bing cherry (with a little juice for good measure)
Put the sugar cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Soak with bitters. I mean really soak it good. Add one cherry, and muddle with the sugar and bitters . Add ice and Rum47. Stir to dissolve sugar. Add the second cherry. Find a nice dark leather chair and flop down in it.
Honey Rum Zinger (A touch sweet, with a little zing)
- 2 oz Comb and Cane Honey Rum
- ¾ oz Tine
- More than a few dashes Scrappy's Orange Bitters
- 1 Bada Bing cherry (with a little juice for good measure)
Mix the C&C, Tine and bitters with ice. Add the cherry and stir. When you are done drinking it, don't forget to eat the cherry. That's the best part.
MarTINEz (A twist on a classic, the Martinez was thought to be an early version of a martini)
- 2 oz Tine
- ½ oz Cocchi Vermouth
- ¼ oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 3 dashes orange bitters
Stir ingredients with ice. Strain into martini glass. Pour slowly into mouth.
Original Daiquiri (The refreshing, classic way - not the slushy sweet way)
· 1.5 oz Rum47 White Rum
· Juice of 1 large lime
· 1/2 oz simple syrup
Juice the lime into shaker. Add Rum47 and simple syrup. Add ice and shake until the shaker is too cold to hold. Strain into martini glass. Loosen tie.
Megan's Basement (Super refreshing, perfect for after a workout in Megan's basement)
· 2 oz Tine
· 1 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
· 1/2 oz simple syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake until the shaker is too cold to hold. Strain into martini glass. Towel off.
Grey and Cloudy (A PNW twist on the classic Dark N Stormy)
· 1.5 oz Rum47 White Rum
· Ginger beer
· Lime wedge
Mix Rum47 and ginger beer (we like Bedford's, made in Port Angeles) over ice in an old fashioned glass. Squeeze and toss in a lime wedge. Toast your friends.
PSRC Honey Mojito (Honey and mint go well together)
· 2 oz C&C Honey Rum
· ¼ large lime
· 8 mint Leaves
· 3 oz soda water
· 1/2 TBSP honey syrup
Muddle mint, lime and simple syrup with ice in highball glass. Add C&C and soda water. Stir and garnish with mint. Dance.
C&C&C (Our twist on a Cuba Libre)
· 2 oz C&C Honey Rum
· Cola (We like Jones Cola)
· Lime wedge
Mix C&C and Cola over ice in an old fashioned glass. Squeeze and toss in a lime wedge. Drink. Make another.
Amber Sástini (An amber version of the classic Martini, with an apple-y twist)
Stir ingredients with ice (unless you are James Bond, then feel free to shake it). Strain into martini glass.
747 (Shout out to local Boeing peeps)
· 1.5 oz Rum47 White Rum
· 7-Up
· Lemon wedge
Mix Rum47 and 7-Up over ice in an old fashioned glass. Squeeze and toss in a lemon wedge. Fly.
Put Your Feet Up Old Fashioned (A classic with an herbal tea twist)
- 1 oz Sásta
- 1 oz bourbon
- 1 sugar cube
- More than a few dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 Luxardo or Bada Bing cherries
- 2 mandarin orange slices
Place sugar cube in old fashioned glass and soak with bitters. Muddle sugar, bitters, one cherry and both orange wedges. Remove orange pulp. Add bourbon (we like local bourbons like 2Bar Bourbon, Woodinville Whiskey, J.P. Trodden, etc) and Sásta and stir. Add the second cherry. Light Cigar. If you wanna make it extra Irish, use Jameson’s instead of bourbon.
